What is Adapted Physical Activity?
Adapted Physical Activity (APA) refers to physical activity for persons who require adaptation in order to take part in physical activity and sporting activities due to disability, illness, lowered functional ability or social situation.
APA related research in Finland
The majority of the research about APA has been done in the University of Jyväskylä but some research projects has been conducted also in other universities, by sport medicine organizations, universities of applied sciences and research institutes.
